The art and the spirit, the person and the culture:
the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra welcomes you on a journey through history and for man
Promoted by the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra, the Festival aims to return the great sacred music to its authentic context, the churches: a context that is perhaps not as acoustically perfect as a concert hall but is the right one to give full life to music originally created for the liturgy.
Sandro Magister, Italian article “Grande musica nelle chiese di Roma”, www.chiesa.espressonline.it
A rich and heartfelt applause, before the greeting and the blessing of Pope Benedict XVI, who did not fail to praise the Fondazione Pro Musica and Arte Sacra for the realization of the splendid Festival and, no less, for the restoration works of the artistic heritage and sacred architecture. For what, in comparison, they can be worth, our compliments and our gratitude are associated, which for sure will be increased after the participation in the next scheduled events.
Dario Ascoli, Italian article of 14 October 2008 about the concert of the Vienna Philharmonic in presence of the Holy Father, www.oltrecultura.it
I warmly welcome the renewed initiative and the laudable religious and cultural motivations that support and guide it.
His Excellency Rev.ma Mons. Paolo de Nicolò, Regent of the Prefecture of the Casa Pontificia, in a letter to the President of the Fondazione Dr. Courtial on 15 July 2008
I warmly congratulate you for the significant results obtained so far both in the restauration of important testimonies of sacred art and for the organization of the prestigious International Festival of Sacred Music and Art.
Prof. Louis Godart, Councilor for the conservation of the artistic heritage of the President of the Republic, in a letter to the President of the Fondazione Dr. Courtial on 31 July 2008
I wish to express my deep appreciation for this laudable initiative, further testimony to the attention paid to the events of the Church, which, through the high competence of so many prestigious and illustrious Masters and Artists, re-proposes the great sacred musical heritage.
His Eminence Tarcisio Cardinal Bertone, Secretary of the State, in a letter to the President of the Fondazione Dr. Courtial on 8 July 2008
