Promoted by the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra, the Festival aims to return the great sacred music to its authentic context, the churches: a context that is perhaps not as acoustically perfect as a concert hall but is the right one to give full life to music originally created for the liturgy.

A rich and heartfelt applause, before the greeting and the blessing of Pope Benedict XVI, who did not fail to praise the Fondazione Pro Musica and Arte Sacra for the realization of the splendid Festival and, no less, for the restoration works of the artistic heritage and sacred architecture. For what, in comparison, they can be worth, our compliments and our gratitude are associated, which for sure will be increased after the participation in the next scheduled events.

I warmly welcome the renewed initiative and the laudable religious and cultural motivations that support and guide it.

I warmly congratulate you for the significant results obtained so far both in the restauration of important testimonies of sacred art and for the organization of the prestigious International Festival of Sacred Music and Art.
