Presentation of the mosaic clipeus dedicated to His Holiness Leo XIV

On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, the General President of the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra, Sen. Dr. h.c. mult. Hans-Albert Courtial was received in an Audience by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV for the presentation of the mosaic clipeus dedicated to the Pontiff.

The work, part of the series of Supreme Pontiffs for the Papal Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls, was presented in the presence of the President of the Fabbrica di San Pietro, His Eminence Cardinal Mauro Gambetti; the Archpriest of the Papal Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls, His Eminence Cardinal James Michael Harvey; the Abbot of the Abbey of Saint Paul Outside the Walls, His Excellency Dom Donato Ogliari; and the Delegate for the Administration of the Papal Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls, Ing. Filippo Cascone.

The creation of the mosaic clipeus of Pope Leo XIV was entirely supported by the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra. The Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra has previously supported the creation of the mosaic clipeus of Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis in the Papal Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls.

The President of the Supporters' Committee of the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra, Dott.ssa Claudia Autieri, also took part in the presentation.
