Journey to Germany of the Spanish Augustinian choir "Escolania del Escorial"

The Spanish Augustinian choir Escolania del Escorial was in Germany from 23 to 26 June 2017, on the invitation of the authorities of the cities of Lutherstadt Eisleben, Lutherstadt Wittenberg and Halle, and on the initiative of the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra and its Founder and General President, Sen. Dr. h.c. mult. Hans-Albert Courtial.
On Friday, 23 June 2017, the choir Escolania del Escorial was welcomed by the Mayor of the city of Lutherstadt Eisleben, Ms. Jutta Fischer and Sen. Dr. h.c. mult. Hans-Albert Courtial, Founder and General President of the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra. Maestro José María Abad Bolufer and Father Pedro Alberto Sanchez, chapel chaplain of the Escolania del Escorial choir have signed in the "Goldenes Buch" (golden book) of the city of Lutherstadt Eisleben.

The choir then also visited the house of birth and the house where Martin Luther died and the St.-Petri-Pauli-Kirche church, where he was baptized on 11 November 1483.

At 7.00 pm the Escolania del Escoria choir, conducted by Maestro José María Abad Bolufer, together with the choir Stadtsingechor zu Halle, conducted by M ° Clemens Flämig, performed in the Ulrichskirche in Halle in concert, in the presence of the Ministerpräsident of the Federal State Sachsen- Anhalt, Dr. Reiner Haseloff.

Saturday 24 June 2017 the Escolania del Escorial choir and the Founder and General President of the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra, Sen. Dr. h.c. mult. Hans-Albert Courtial, were received in the city of Lutherstadt Wittenberg by the Mayor of the city, Torsten Zugehör.

Sen. Dr. h.c. mult. Hans-Albert Courtial, Maestro José Maria Abad Bolufer and Father Pedro Alberto Sanchez have signed the golden book, "Goldenes Buch", of the city of Lutherstadt Wittenberg.

Then they visited the Schlosskirche where the Augustinian friar Martin Luther proposed to the public discussion his 95 theses on 31 October 1517.

In the afternoon, the Escolania del Escorial choir and the Founder and General President of the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra, Sen. Dr. h.c. mult. Hans-Albert Courtial, were invited by the Mayor of the city of Halle, Dr. Bernd Wiegand and the Deputy Mayor, Ms. Dr. Marquardt to the reception organized in the Municipality where Sen. Dr. h.c. mult. Hans-Albert Courtial, Maestro José Maria Abad Bolufer and Father Pedro Alberto Sanchez Sanchez have signed the golden book, "Goldenes Buch", of the city of Halle.

Sunday, June 24, 2017, the Escolania del Escorial choir animated musically the Holy Mass in the Moritzkirche in Halle.
